    重庆邮电大学在重庆市南岸区崇文路2号。重庆邮电大学位于重庆市,是中国工业和信息化部与重庆市人民政府共建的一所教学研究型大学,是国家“2011计划”核心协同高校、国家布点设立并重点建设的四所邮电高校之一,入选国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”、国家“卓越工程师教育培养计划“,国家高技术产业化示范工程基地、全国首批信息专业人才培训基地、全国首批通信科普教育基地、CDIO工程教育联盟成员单位。现任党委书记李林,校长高新波。校训修德、博学、求实、创新。截至2022年7月,学校占地3800亩,校舍建筑面积68万余平方米。学校设有学院17个,本科专业61个,国家级一流专业建设点17个、国家级特色专业5个、国家级卓越工程师实施专业5个、国家级本科专业综合改革试点专业1个,涵盖工、理、经、管、文、艺、法、教等学科门类。学校的工程学科和计算机科学学科进入ESI全球排名前1%。博士后科研流动站2个、博士后科研工作站10个、一级学科博士学位授权点2个、一级学科硕士学位授权点18个,专业硕士学位类别及专业领域25个,经教育部批准具有推荐本科生免试攻读研究生资格,在职教职工2100余人。学校创建1950年10月,其前身是东川邮政管理局邮政人员培训班,在此基础上,先后举办西南邮电分校、重庆邮电学校和重庆电信学校;1959年由国务院批准成立为重庆邮电学院,并开始本科教育;1970年改建为电信总局529厂,1973年改建为邮电部第九研究所,1979年恢复办学。2000年由信产部划转重庆市管理,实行部市共建;2006年更名为重庆邮电大学。
